AmeriCorps is a national service program.  Locally, through United Way of Bartholomew County, AmeriCorps members are trained and placed with local not-profit organizations serving as volunteer resource managers.  Members serve about 18-20 hours each week (over 900 hours in a 12 month period), September 1, 2011 to August 31, 2012. If you are an energetic adult with a high school diploma or equivalency, have experience managing people, have (or are working toward) a college degree, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, you are just the person we are looking for.
