Advocates for Children of South Central Indiana provides trained
volunteers (Court Appointed Special Advocates) who represent the best
interest of children in court. Most often these children are involved in
court only because they are victims of abuse and neglect. The CASA volunteer
objectively and thoroughly researches the child's situation, recommends a
course of action to the Court, explains the Court's findings to the child,
facilitates and advocates for the resolution to the presenting problems, and
monitors progress toward established goals. CASA is supported by paid
staff, who closely supervises each case.
