United Way offers FREE income tax filings for qualified Bartholomew County residents each year through the VITA Volunteer Tax Assistance programs.
The programs offer free tax filings to Bartholomew County residents who make $64,000 or less, persons with disabilities, elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide confidential and secure basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.
Free Income Tax Assistance appointments will be conducted from late January through mid-April. All appointments are held at NexusPark by appointment only. Appointments are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Call (812) 375-2216, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
