In order to tackle our community’s toughest challenges - we must first understand the issues.

The United Way of Bartholomew County is fully committed to having deep knowledge of our community’s challenges and strengths. It is foundational to our work and required in order to ensure that resources in the community are aligned with documented needs.

 The purpose of the Needs Assessment is to generate healthy constructive discussion to ensure that as a community we clearly understand our challenges and assets. And, that as a community we are effectively aligning our resources in order to move our community forward in a way that benefits us all, including the most vulnerable among us.

It is a culmination of nearly a year of Work by United Way volunteers, staff, and community partners. The findings identified in it serve as the foundation of our work. The United Way of Bartholomew County seeks to ensure that resources in the community align with the documented needs in our community.
