When it comes to accessing health services, a person’s zip code should never be a deterrent to success, nor should it be a barrier to improved health. Yet for many, that’s a daily reality.  In Columbus, the neighborhood where a person lives is a predictor of how long they will live. In some areas of our community, there is a nearly 20 year difference in lifespans. 

We are aiming to close this gap. 

We are fighting this equality to ensure everyone in Bartholomew County has access to the tools they need for optimal health that will lead to a long and healthy life.  We’re fighting to help everyone of all ages in Bartholomew County get—and stay—healthy.  Our goal is to build a better community 

Our work for health equality means making it easier for individuals to access substance abuse programs, receive quality health care, mental healthcare, and access nutritious foods.
